Placed at the base of a plant, Smart Cushion® provides a continuous and predictable release of water over a prolonged period of time.
Plants are maintained in a healthy condition, with virtually no need for manual watering for extended periods. Eventually, when the soil becomes is dry to a depth of a couple of inches from the surface, it couldn’t be simpler to re-water the plant. When you feel the plant needs to be watered just top water the soil with the recommended volume of water, the water will percolate down, reinvigorating the soil and re-fill the Smart Cushion®.
Smart Cushion® is a proactive watering system, which works in tandem with plants roots to provide the ideal soil condition for healthy plant growth. The Smart Cushion® holds a large volume of water and delivers it when needed to prolong the watering cycle of plants from up to 4 weeks for many flowering plants and up to 8 weeks for greenery plants.
Technical information
Smart Cushion® - Easy to use Instructions.
1.Place a Smart Cushion® into the base of a container.
2.Pour in the quantity of water recommended.
3.Allow a few minutes till the majority of the water has been absorbed.
4.Add soil or compost on top of the Smart Cushion®. Pot the plant(s) up as normal.
5.Leave a 25-50mm gap from the top of the soil to the level of the container so water added will not over flow the planter.
6.Water in plant roots as normal.
7.To re-water plant test the soil either, manually or with a moisture meter, below the surface, if the soil is dry down to a level of 50mm or more add the recommended amount of water by top watering.
